About me

Covering the Women’s March in Washington D.C. in January 2017 as a freelance correspondent.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), one of the five best universities in Brazil.

I hold a Master’s degree in Engagement Journalism from Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY (New York). I was awarded scholarships by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), the Revson Foundation and the Tow-Knight Center. I received an award from the Brazilian grassroots organization Garra for my capstone project, Women Against Violence Experiment (W.A.V.E.).

Additionally, I have an Associate degree in Drama Arts from ETE Martins Pena, in Rio de Janeiro. It’s the oldest theater school in Latin America.
